Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to create type trees from an excel spreadsheet?

If I try to use the type tree importer, I see all the blanks <SP> carriage return <CR> and line feeds <LF>. THis happen when I try import from a text file and specify the source name as an excel sheet.

Thanks

I believe you can use the DBID to build the tree. First you must define the spreadsheet as a data source ODBC.

I am not being able to generate the type tree using this. I want to generate a type tree which I can use in mercator maps.

Do you want the spreadsheet to be a data source or target? Did you try to create an ODBC link to the spreadsheet and use the Database Interface Designer as suggested?

If you are using the spreadsheet as a source, you could save it as a CSV file and create the tree yourself too.
