Can anybody simplify the procedure for adding transitions in premier 6.0. I can get the clips in the time line, and the transitions dragged into place but they don't work???

Also any quick tips for audio would be appreciated. The audio file seem to be in the right spot but no sound plays.

Is your transition overlapping two pictures tracks?
Have you rendered?

Thanks for the tip. I have become very familiar with rendering in the last few days. One other question. I used clips from a video camera. I captured with an ATV All In Wonder Card. When I captured them they had saound and the litle sound waves show up on the audio track, but I can't get any sound. This video is for a school presentation. I really need the sound. Any thoughts?

I too have an AIW... But I'm still on Premiere 4.2! I never capture from within Premiere (that's never worked for me), but with ATI's own capture utility, and when I import thoses files (don't use the vcr2.0 compression, if you decide to try this...), I've never had any problems. Can you hear sound when you import other files than the ones you've captured? Some users have been complaining about this problem (my son for one of them!)... I'll check if he has found a solution. Meanwhile you might want to check and search the threads for this problem at the Adobe forum:
Best I can do for now!
