Hi.
I have recently started working on Trusted Links STX 4.1. I have been asked to create a new Trading Partner definition to recieve 830 from a client.
Can somebody guide me as to where I can get the information for ISA-GS-ST, company code etc- Basically, help me create the trading partner.

Thanks

Hi,

Your ISA & GS codes make up the envelope that you will use to receive and/or send EDI documents. There are two ISA Identifiers and two GS identifiers and each of these identifiers has a qualifier field.

One set of each of these defines the sender ID & Qual and the the other the receiver ID & qualifier.

If this is your first trading partner, you can pretty much select your own ID & qualifier. For example, I use "01" as my qualifier and then my telephone number (including area code) as my ID. You can use anything you like pretty much.

When you begin a relationship with a new trading partner, they will ask for your ID & Qualifier values and let you know theirs. Most trading partners require you to fill out a trading partner relationship form and send it back to them which has all of this info on it.

Hope this helps!

Tom.
