creating time specific reports. 1

I have posted this on another forum but I am attempting to put it in this forum too to try to obtain as much relevant help as possible. I am not a programmer by trade but have been thrust into this position and am trying to learn the Access program as quickly as possible. I need to create a report that will only give information for a certain date. I have a database that is collecting all calls for all dates. We need to be able to bring up the phone calls for only certain dates. Please help!!!!

Assuming the report is based off a table as you currently have it, here's what you do...

Create a query from the table and include all the fields. In the criteria box for the date field, put:

[Enter Date To Be Displayed]

Make sure you include the brackets on the ends....Then go to the design of your report, open the properties for the report, and find recordsource (usually the first one). Change this be the query you just created. Save all your work and open you report. A box will popup asking you fo the date. Ensure you enter the date in the same format as the table and you should just get that days data...

Create a Form with two text Boxes then point your query at them using builder

Put dates in each text box

Criteria: Between [Form]![text1] And [Form]![text2]

Call the query with a command button on the same form
