Hi everyone,

I have a Union SQL query on the AS400 that I need to access in the AS400. I have worked with other systems were I can creats a stored procedure or a view and join the multiple select statements just fine. I have never worked with Stored Procedures on the AS400. Any Suggestions and or examples would be great!

I know that the ODBC plays a part in this to. I do have Client Access 5.3 connectivity on my system but I am not sure if my AS400 is setup to access stored procedures.

Please Help!!

Thanks in advance

Sundancer,

There exists a Redbook specifically on Iseries stored procedures (October 2006;600 pages) and this deals with V5R3 as well. It covers literally every topic concerning UDF's, triggers and every type of stored procedure.

It should be available on ibm.com/redbooks

In any case , ODBC,JDBC and CLI can be used to retrieve resultsets from the AS400
