creating Sports Ticker help!!!

Need a Sports ticker written in Java 1.2, must make URL calls( 6 or 7 sites) to html pages, parse the information and and display it on the ticker., there is no set format, i know if they change the format i´m screwed for a little while, but that´s what i need. if you can help please let me know.
