How would I go about creating a search engine that would search a table for records with specific data items defined by the enduser? I am looking at creating a box that would say search and allow the user to type in a word or numeric value and end up viewing all records with the corresponding value. I am sure it is something small I am missing but I would love to know where I am missing it. Even if it does take some vb code I am willing to do it. If you can point me in the right direction I would be eternally gretful.I know this is probably fairly simple but I would appreciate some sort of help with this small issue.

Try a search for V-Tools. This application, both in freeware and shareware versions, has the capability ('total deep search') you mentioned.

Have a look at the thread "Keyword Search" in Access Forms Forum commenced Sep 17 2002 for some ideas which may help
