I would like to create an animated gif which consists of text that rotates round a sphere, similar to the earth rotation. Is there any way I can do this in PSP?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but chances are that the file will be huge; so, why not try flash? It's much harder to do the text curving in standard flash but if you use some of the plug-ins you can get now it shouldn't be too bad.

If you're heart is set on PSP though then the best way to curve text (in fact the only way!) is, first off, to draw a vector shape of any variety you like. (If your case an arc or circle would do nicely). Now, take the text tool and place it over the line of the vector shape; you should see the normal text tool change into an A at 45degrees with a curved line underneath it; press the mouse button and add you text (as a vector selection, of course). You should now find that the text follows the vector and that by altering kerning and leading settings you can play around with it's positioning.

It may also be useful to use the 'node edit' option from the vector selection tool so that you can alter the shape of the vector line that your text is on.

Good luck, gimmie a shout if you need to!
