I have an internal website the allows the doctor to retrieve patient lab data. The data is displayed in a chart using ChartDirector and also has the data displayed in a gridview below the chart. (ChartDirector also has the capability of saving the chart in a jpeg file.) The doctor would like the ability to print a report with the chart, gridview and some personal data like name, patient ID and Date. What is the easiest way to do this? I've searched on the internet but the programs I found are very expensive. It seems like it ought to be fairly simple ... what I want is already on the screen. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I'm using Visual Web Developer 2005, MSSQL Server 2005 Express and Oracle Database 10g Express.
Thanks

if you are printing a report then it's best to use a reporting framework, rather than try to use the web/html as hard copy report.

Reporting Services and Crystal Reports come with VS (not sure about VS Express though). Webform control vendors also have some reporting tools. I would prepare for some expense with creating reports. It will be worth the investment.
