I'm pulling from a sql server and transforming it into xml data via the use of C#. I'm creating a web application with asp.net and would like to be able to create printable reports using xml and xslt. My problem is that I can transfrom the xml to html report but how do I create a print friendly report. I don't want things being cut off in the middle of prints. Is there a way of handling this via the use of xml?

Thanks,
Harold

A colleague of mine had exactly the same problem.
It seems impossible to get a decent printing HTML.
Using CSS you can make some difference between screen-display and printer, even influence pagebreaks (CSS2).
However: headers and footers eventually drove him mad.
So he switched to using XSL-FO, to ceate .pdf files.
That works fine, but it isn't flexible enough for our needs - we also need other output-formats.
So: at the moment another colleague is digging into using .net + cristal reports. In two days he allready produced better results then the other guy. The only obstacle seems to be that our boss is frowning at the costs of .net licences - but hey, that's his problem.
