I am trying to get information selected from a form to create a report(from a template) Here is what I have:

form name is: frmTradeTemp
they select a trade: cboTrade
they select a department: cboTradeDepartment
they select a line: cboTradeLine
report template is: rptTradeTemp

then hit submit or cancel

what do i do if they want the whole department without a line?

This has to be easy for someone!!!!

Thanks for the help.

Hello murphysdad,
It's not that your problem is difficult... it's just that it's not clearly outlined. Exactly what does the report display? What should it display? What is the record source [or query] that the report is based on? Please post the SQL statement. We also would need to know more about the values in the tables that these combo boxes are based on.
Thank you, Robert

Hi Robert,
Thanks for getting back to me. Currently I have not created a query for the report to be based on. I suppose it would be qryTradeReport. It will have several different field which will be reflected in the report. The report will be displaying several peices of data(mostly text) that reflects whick trade has been choosen. The combo boxes gather information from tables i have created. The Trade is text, Dept and Line is numbers and text.
Thanks for the help,

Jeremy
