creating report/query by combobox value 1

this is probably a very newbie question but I have a table (custdat) containing, amongst others: customer names, salesperson names, equipment, date sold
I have created a form with a combobox containing all the salesperson names from another table (sales)and a command button; what I want to do is select a saleperson's name from the combobox and when the cmdbutton is clicked, a report listing the selected saleperson's customers,equipment and date sold, is generated. Any help would be much appreciated.TIA

In The query you have created

go to the column "SalesPersonName"

in the Criteria box put Forms!MyFormName!MyComboBoxName

where MyFormName is the naem of your form
MyComboBoxname is the name of the combo box on the form
