Creating really nice looking tables?

Is there a way (using a Macromedia product) to create really nice looking tables?

Such as:

Do you think the above table (with nice scroll buttons and 3D look and feel) was manually designed, or is it a canned feature of one of Macromedia's products?

Asa follow-up: I would really LOVE to be able to create a table in FLASH without having to manually draw the table using the line tool. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, the components for tables are not very good at all--pretty clunky, unflexible, and not very good looking (not at all like theexample above).

Does anyone else aveany other suggestions?

you have to regard components as starting blocks...most times you can use 'as is'. rest of the time ...all you you can say is "wow"...thats 90% of the work done for me...i can fill in the other 10%

A good friend of mine (a Certified Macromedia Instructor) insisted that I should not be using Flash to build the site I am working on (after I explained everything I was planning to do). He told me I should be using Dreamweaver (with Flash Components if I wish). He further explained that although it is possible to have tables in Flash, they are going to be complex with less satisfactory results than HTML tables. I seized the challenge to impress him.

The example is not at all visually appealing, very complex in design (compared to HTML tables), and would pose additional problems (such as dynamically resizing based on external data queries). I see what he means and I am willing to concede the challenge. I'm going to use Dreamweaver with Flash components and Cold Fusion for the backend.

However, I sincerely appreciate the help you have provided.
