Hello
I was trying to create 2 disk mirror and 4 disk raid 5 but i am unable to see where I can size the Virtual disk (it just defaults to "full") and I don't see a way to name the VD. Also, I do not understand what the implications are of choosing "uefi" in the BIOS/setup as far as installing W2008R2. the raid controller is PERC H710 mini monolithic

thanks

With raids, there is generally no reason to change the size of a newly created raid array's virtual disk size from the default of using the full size of the array. If partitions are needed, you do it from within Windows through Disk Manager. As far as a naming a VD within the raid setup, again no need, as you can create volume names from within Windows; I have not used a 710 as of yet but all other Percs give the ability to name VDs from within the raid setup. The only reason I would name a VD from within the raid setup, would be for remoting into a system before the OS loads, in a system with many servers to aleviate confusion. As far as UEFI, Google it, it's present use primarily pertains to the use of large capacity drives/arrays.
