creating "neiman" style art/pics

I'm interested in creating leroy neiman style pics of golf courses, players etc. I use corel 9 and an intermediate user but little idea how to accomplish this. any ideas? also i found a site that describes how to do this in a program called "photo art"- i've never heard of this program?

as the site. "Photo art" is not a program, but a style. If you look through their forums, you'll find many tips/tricks/tutorials on the subject.
