hello, notes gurus !

I know it's possible to make, but as i don't really enjoy to dive into Notes programming guides to find the answer, i would appreciate a lot if you could explain me how to create 2 small agents.

Both of them will be launched from the Inbox view of my mail box. The first agent will detect mails which have the return_recept flag ON, and will present a dialog box with the concerned mails (a doubleclick on one of the mail, and it opens as usually). The second agent will make the same thing, but with the mails which have the prevent copy flags on.

If I guess, correctly, it's possible to make easily through a combination of @pickup | @dialogbox and @elect , but i don't feel the courage to read notes documentation about syntax, formulas, have to adapt the samples, ...

thank you for your comprehension and your assitance !!
regards,

And what does your company developer have to say about this development ?
Does your company allow modifying the standard Notes template ?

hello,

no notes developper in my company. my understanding is that you just need to go through the "create agent" of the local notes files, no need to touch the notes mail template :)) it's for my personal usage.

Okay, then I have a few questions about the procedure :
1) why go through the trouble of putting mails that require a ReturnReceipt in a dialog box if all your going to do is open them anyway ? Wouldn't it be more efficient to just display an icon in the Inbox ?
2) Same question for Prevent Copy.
3) Since an email can be flagged for both, that will probably mean a change in the design for the Inbox - or finding a special icon.

I think it would be easier to just insert two new views - one which shows mails received that require a Return Receipt, and one for Copy Protect.
That would be simpler, and would require a minimum of code. You just need to change the selection formula in each case, and probably sort the mails in descending date order.

Pascal.
