Creating PDF locks up/font capture

Every time I try to create a PDF, it progresses to the same point each time and then locks up. The point at which it locks up, the dialog box says "relocating files" each time. When I close everything out and reboot, I get a box that says that "font capture" is still running-- Cancel, End Now, etc.

I removed AA completely, and reinstalled. Same problem. (Version 6)

From what app. are you trying to create the PDF? Checked for font corruption, or is just particular document? What OS?

win xp. tested from Word, Excel -- didn't seem to matter. I typed "test" in the document in arial and times new roman... no fancy fonts. it used to work, and just all of a sudden started doing this.

Seems like could be temp folder overflow or some such
