Does anybody know the main differences of writing CR going against between regular data sources and OLAP cub?

I have done lots of reporting on data sources like SQL Server/Oracle/Access, but never develop any Crystal reports against an OLAP cub. Just want to know how hard to do it.

Thanks in advance for answering my question!

Depends on the version of Crystal and the type of OLAP cube.

When you open the Data Explorer to add in the cube you'll find a choice for OLAP, use this and add in your data source.

Cubes are a bit different from OLTP designs, but if you understand the concepts you should be OK.

BO has a whitepaper on OLAP which should prove useful, as well:
