Hi all,

I need a little help with setting up virtual directories in IIS 7 on Windows Server 2008.

For every web app on the server, I want the users to use a URL similar to this:

So far the only thing I can manage to do is to create a website and reference it by port, like this:

While this works, I won't be able to remember which port maps to each web app since I have many.

What am I missing in IIS 7 with virtual directories? This was pretty easy in v6 but I can't figure it out.

Thanks,
Mark

are you creating a separate web site, or are you using default website?

sampko,

I want this to be a new, separate website, not the default one.

Thanks.

ok then you will have to either disable the default, or change the listening port on the default site. Then you will be able to set the new separate website to port 80.
