Creating nice graphs with Oracle Reports

I'm trying to graph some data on throughput over a network.
The first problem I'm running into is that when I try to create a continuous X axis I get these weird arcs from the Y to the X, instead of a normal graph. Can anybody help me make normal looking graphs with Oracle Reports?
