I get confused with ACD Log-In ID and the position ID? On a M2616 if a key shows ACD 8358 0 201<--- Is 201 the position ID? And if so how do I find what's available so that I can program a new position ID and a new log in ID?

The position ID is generally assigned like roll over keys as far as numbering goes. You find a list of available DN's (LUDN) and assign it a NON-DID number. To make it simple we used to assign say 4500 (where the 4xxx range was the local exchange) as the Primary DN, the secondary DN would be 5500 and the Position ID would be 6500. Keeps it simple and you always know what number to assign as long as you make a design rule that those numbers are only used for that purpose.

The agent ID's are assigned in Symposium. They can be anything you want them to be really but just remember they SHOULD be in your PBX's standard range for agent ID's. If they aren't and symposium goes down the phones revert back to standard ACD functionality and you find that your agents are now using invalid login ID's and unable to take calls.

In your above axample 201 is the Position ID. Think of Position ID as the "physical location" of the phone.

How do I check what ID 's are programmed in the PBX? And where do I look in Symposium to see what agent ID's are programmed?

Agent ID's are not part of the numbering plan, position ID's are. When you create the block for ACD agent ID's in the PBX, you can put a range in there, the default is 0-9999.
