Okay, using Lynda i have kinda got a hold on how to import my excel file into a table and not make it look like crap. So I imported the first page of the excel file formatted it, and it looks great. Now I need to make about five more tables that look the same from other excel files. Is there a good way of doing this without totally redoing everything over and over again?

I thought if I just duplicated the table and then pasted the unformatted tabbed text it would auto fill the cells and rows correctly, but all the content just sits in the cell the cursor was in. I know there has to be a good way of this. Anybody know?

If you don't have a lot of tables, or a lot of rows in those tables, you could copy and paste the styled table. Then, import the other tables and at least style text. You can copy and paste rows, but don't put your cursor in the cell...select the entire row (using the type tool off to the left of the row, until you see a small arrow), then choose paste.

If this is something you're going to be doing frequently, you might look into Woodwing Software's Smart Styles plug in. It runs about $150US, but worth it if you'll be using it again and again.
