Creating Mass E Mailing from Table

I have a large customer database which contains a field for e mail addresses. Is it possible to set up a mass e mailing from this table? I would like to verify each person is still a viable contact and if I could use some type of mail merge to send out a message it would be extremely helpful.

Or download a free bulk mailer program (like GROUP MAIL LITE), export your emails as a text file, import them to group mail and send from there.
