Hello all,
I am going to implement logon scripts here at my site, to take the place of
the NetWare drives that are mapped at logon now because I am planing to
phase out our NetWare servers. I have set up an application server (NT
4.0) with contains home directories for all users, but I also need to map
some folders that will contain shared resources and such. I am having
trouble finding an example logon script to teach myself with. Could
someone send my an example and any other advise that may be pertinent?

Thanks

Drop to DOS in NT and type net /?

That gives you everything you need to know.

In UMD specify the home directory as \\server\sharename\%username%
Put Dimension 4 on a server.

Script:

net use f: /home will map the f drive to their home directory
net use g: \\servername\sharepoint will do exactly what you think it will
net time /set /yes \\servername will sync the client to the servers time.
net use lpt1: \\servername\printername will capture the port
