I know its a simple question, but what EXACTLY to I do to make a graphic I created/imported or text a working link?

You need to convert the object you imported (text, picture, etc.) into a button. You can do this by modifying the instance's behavior, setting it to "button." Then edit the button and on the 4th frame, labeled "hit," draw a box designating the area you want to be clickable.

After editing the button, place it on the stage and right click it, bringing up options. Choose "Actions" and then from there you can tell it what you want it to do after the user has clicked on it.

Let me know if you need me to be more specific about any of this. Hopefully, this will help you out though!
