creating lib files

Hi everyone,

can anyone explain me how to create library file in linux?????

don't know about linux on UNIX it:
ar -r -c mylib.a myobj1.o
ar -r -c mylib.a myobj2.o
.....
added myobj1.o and myobj2.o to library mylib.a
