I have a bunch of images that I need to create a rollover for but I am wondering if there is a much simpler tutorial to follow in doing so in fireworks.

For instance,
I have a mouse-looking select image.

I want to give the user the ability to click the select image and leave them with the impression that the image depresses when mouse is over it and returns to normal when mouse is off.

I could do this with 2 different colors but I want to use same color scheme.

Any help will be appreciated, assuming I made myself clear enough.

Thanks in advance

you use your effects, and emboss the image, and then use the "raised, inverted, etc" to alter the up and over images.

Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..
