Hi everyone.

Can anybody help me on how do i create an icon for my site so, when the users add it to their feavorites section they can have an icon instead of pure text?

Typical example is the
when you add this to your feavorite section within the links folder you will see an icon together with your prefered text.

Anythoughts where to look at or how do i create this?

Method 1
Select or create a standard windows icon file. The .ico file must be in standard windows format and be 16x16pixels
rebame it to
favicon.ico
then place it in the root directory of your web server. Then whenever your site is bookmarked the icon will subsequently show up in the visitors favourites list.

Method 2
insert the following link tag in the head tags of your pages
<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON"
HREF="http:/ and do as in 1 above either create or rename an icon file and upload it to the root directory of your webserver.

Hope this helps
Regards
Ian

Hi,

You may or may not want it in the root directory, it should go in the highest level directory visible to people on the web for instance, on my server, it would go in my public_html one level below root.
