Creating Frame Layout Using <DIV> Tag

I am working on a site that uses frames to include a menu on the left side of the page. It has frames set up for the header, menu, content and footer sections. When some one selects one of the menu items the target of the menu is set to be the contents frame so it can dynamically change the content without reloading the whole page. I have been looking all over the web for examples for how to do this using <DIV> tags but, have been unable to find any examples. Does anyone know of a good example of this or how to do this.

Just been looking for nearly exactly the same thing and found this...

...doesn't specifically use <DIV> but it looks promising. Haven't tried it yet though.
