creating folders/sub directories

I have a program which creates a series of files and I would like to sort these files into folders, is there a way I can get my program to create new folders in the current workign directory.

AnsiString CurDir = GetCurrentDir();
AnsiString NewDir = CurDir + "\\NewDirectory";
CreateDir(NewDir);
