Does anyone know whether it is possible to have a Flash animation in the background of a website with DHTML layers on top of it with a visual effect such as Alpha(opacity=30) CSS style applied to it. When I try the flash animation is *always* on top! I though an animated background on a web site would look pretty cool.

Many thanks for anyone who can help.

Benji.

BenjiLee,
Although it's possible to have a transparent Flash movie on top of an html page (only in IE mind you, this doesn't work with NS!), don't think you can have it as a background layer. Flash uses directx to embed the movie, and anything embedded with directx will appear on top and nothing will print over it, unless you wipe it, which for all intents & purposes, would defeat what you're trying to do! Maybe the only way to cheat this effect, once again only possible with IE, would be to have alpha reduced objects in your Flash movie... Allowing some print through and thus adding some confusion as to which layer is really on top!
