Creating erase media job in Backup Exec

I agree you should use the overwrite settings if at all possible. There are times though that an erase may be needed.
To do that set it up under devices, expand the server and library. You have to set it up per slot. If you don't do that I think it will always erase slot one. And I would always use quick erase unless you need to remove some sensitive information. A quick erase just makes the data innaccesable. Hope this helps. Good luck!
