Creating Dashboards with XI - not Dashboard Manager

We have spent a few weeks playing around with a trial version of Dashboard Manager from BO, but are open to other more flexible (and cheaper) alternatives.

We have CE 10 now and can upgrade BO XI.

Problems with DM is that it does not offer drill-down from one dashboard to another sub-dashboard. Eg You have a map analytic of the US on the main dashboard (with other analytics such as traffic lights, speedometer ...), a territory is red (has not met target), you drill-down on that territory, you get another dashboard with a series of analytics (like the main dashboard) except it relates to the territory.

Other significant issue is that the interface (fonts, column widths, slider ...) are very limited. Customization on this seems unlikely.

We were thinking that if we could take full control over the dashboard using Crystal + Web portal somehow.

I just don't know if Crystal can show an analytic like a speedometer (or something very comparable).

The dashboard is not real-time, but delayed by at least one day.

Any links, IDEs or advice would be helpful.

Thanks.

We haven't looked at DASHBOARD MANAGER yet, so your comments on functionality and price are interesting. How scary is the pricing model...?

Speedometers are available as part of the GRAPH function in CR-10 and higher. I don't think traffic-lights are available within CR.

This company has an interesting dashboard product:

I saw it at the BOBJ user conference last year before it was released. It gives you the ability to publich CR reports, spreadhseets, and other docs in each of pane of your dashboard.

The THEORIS link worked just fine for me right before i posted this.
Is it still down for you?

Yup, "theoris.com can not be found" is the message I am getting.

I just tried it again and then navigated around their site just to make sure that it wasn't chached on my end.
Perhaps it is being blocked by a firewall on your end?
