I'd like to have a custom tooltip come up when a user holds his mouse over a certain cell. Is there a way to do this using VBA?

Thanks for your reply. I've been looking at comments, but the little red triangle that appears when you have a comment is pretty annoying and apparently there's no way to get rid of it.

I guess I could live with it, but I'd really rather not have the red triangle around... Anyone know of a different way to make tooltips or a way to get rid of that triangle?

Does this help (I admit it didn't work for me but it appears as if it should!)

"DisplayCommentIndicator Property
Returns or sets the way cells display comments and indicators. Can be one of the following XlCommentDisplayMode constants: xlNoIndicator, xlCommentIndicatorOnly, or xlCommentAndIndicator. Read/write Long.

Thanks,

Gavin

Thanks, that looked promising, except I believe that changes the application and not the sheet. So, even if it did work (which it didn't), I don't think it would've been the same for them as it is for me.

They don't seem to have a property that lets you get rid of the stupid triangle...
