I have problems creating circles for button purposes in photoshop. Actually is there a way to draw circles in photoshop? What I do now is create them in flash and export them to photoshop after which I transform them in transparant gifs. Problem is the edges get too rough and I need smooth edges. Any solutions, ideas?

Thanks!

3 ways to make circles:

1:
If you want a plain circle or oval that is solid the whole way through, then you will have to use the custoom shape tool, (letter-U) and at the top ste the shape to oval, and hold shift and create your circle. Then push [ENTER] after you've create the circle, then you will have to make a new layer move the new layer below the shape layer, select the shape layer and merge down.

2:
Use the marquee tool and hold shift to get a perfect circle, then select the fill tool, choose your color, and fill inside the circle.

3:
Use the marquee tool and hold shift to get a perfect circle, but this time you will choose your color, and then go to EDIT-STROKE and choose whether or not you want the color to be centered on the line, inside the line, or outside of the line. This method will give you a circle outline with the inside transparent.

Personally I use the marquee method for either kind of cirlce (filled in or solid)

Or use a paintbrush and click once.

Why are you importing from flash to PS? Why not create in PS then export to Flash as .png or if you insist transparent gifs?
