Creating chart on a form

I am a newbie! I need to make a chart showing sales totals per day. The data is in a simple table:

Date Amount
1/1/2012 1120
1/2/2012 1238
;
;
4/13/2013 2211
4/14/2012 1243

When I try to run the chart window, it insists on grouping the dates by quarters and the amount as sum of amount. It also lables the sections as NORTH SOUTH EAST and WEST (Not sure where that comes from!) It's no where in my table.

All I need is a simple chart with dates across the bottom and a bar for each day representng the total sales. This is simple in Excel!

Use the wizard and then modify the Row Source of the chart control to display your data without all the aggregates etc.

Thanks, Duane; I should have thought of that myself. I think it was the crazy captions that floored me!

I will typically go into the datasheet view of the chart control and paste the data so it overwrites the defaults.
