Creating an icon

Hi. I'm not sure if im in the correct area but i'll try anyway( and I have CorelDRAW & PhotoPaint). I want to create my own icon. Is there a simple way to do this? ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have had to create icons for our Software Development Department many times, and I purchased (around $80.00) a great program called Icon Forge. You might take a look at it, there is a free trial download at

http://www.cursorarts.com/

It may even get you through the icons that you need to creat with the trial version.
