i think you can create a DTS package that does this...select the source as the sql server db and the destination as the microsoft excel file...and do the field mappings...
Just as an fyi from Excel you can go to Data > Get External Date > Create New Query and run the query from there (There are additional steps required to point at the right data base). This will plug the query output directly into Excel along with column headings.
