Hi!
#1 - I was wondering how to create print queues and spools in HP-UX so that a networked printer may be printed to. I went through the process in SAM, but when it asked for queue and spool names, I wasn't really sure if I should have known what to put in. When I assigned basically random names to these items, the printer couldn't be printed to.

#2 - I have a new printer that I'd like to add and it was never listed on the older version of HP-UX's SAM we are running. Do I need to install its drivers somehow? If so, how do I go about this. Thanks!

A lot depends on what kind of network printer you are setting up. If it is a HP Network printer or using a HP JetDirect card, you just need to download JetAdmin for HP-UX. Install it, there is no re-boot required. It is very simple to use. Otherwise, you will need to set up the printers like they are remote print spoolers. You can do this through SAM.
