I am at present building a website using the CGI.pm module, the pages are at
present not passing the Bobby ( test due to each form element not having label
tags. I am unable to find a method to print <Label for=&quot;&quot;></label> or
methods for fieldset and legend tags.

Although the LABEL tag isn't required, you would implement it the same way you would any other HTML tag.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

OK thanks for the advice tviman. Do you think the CGI.pm module will be modified in the near future to enable it to comply with W3C HTML guidelines? At present there is a big push in this area to make web sites comply with Section 508 legislation.

I don't think there is anything about CGI.pm that would prevent you creating 508 compliant html. It is up to the programmer to make use of the module in a manner appropriate for their target audience. All of my CGI must be 508 compliant (I work on a US gov't contract) and I use CGI.pm heavily.

'hope this helps

Something to remember... W3C HTML guidelines are just that - guidelines. As far as I am aware, there is no regulatory agency involved with any HTML language. As much as we would all like to have a single standard, it's not up to us. Rather, it's up to the designers of web browsers and how they implement the W3C &quot;Guidelines&quot;.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
