I have an issue I need help with. I have computer a in a building with no wire access. It is across a parking lot about 70 yards. I have a linksys wireless-G broadband router with rangebooster and a Belkin N1 wirelss router which will act as an access point. These were the pieces provided to me and told to try to make work. I have a LAN connection in building 1 next to a window facing building 2 where the computer is located. I want to connect the Linksys into building 1 and have the Belkin as an access point pick up the signal and transmit that signal to the computer in building 2. I have not been able to make it happen despite numerous attempts with various configurations. If anyone has any ideas for fixing using these components, any info would be greatly appreciated.

4 what your saying i believe it will not work, you need 2 more ap's these ap's will be set as a bridge to talk to each other across the car park at each end you need to link them to your lan/wireless AP, the reason i say this is i have not seen many routers/ap that will multi task.

wire---- router(linksys) --- bridge (across carpark)----bridge ---- router/ap(belkin)wireless con to comp

hope this helps

You do not need to use the bridging mode - you want to to set the systems up in repeating mode - Since you are going in a line formation.

Set the Linksys to reapeating mode and put the belkins mac address as the the remote mode with clients then on the belkien do the same but use the mac address of the linksys.

this will allow the pc to login and get a ip address.
