creating a VIEW with substring

Hi,
I log my worktime as reminders in Lotus Notes 4.6 and have created a VIEW for these entries with the just date & subject fields.

I can browse these entries with sorts on the selected columns.

I now want to create a column of part of the subject field, something like substr(subject,5,10).

Can you help me?
