Hello, I am brnad new to Crystal and attempting to create a report based on data in an existing report (e.g. I want to know ALL payments recieved from any customers who have ordered specific items). I have created an initial report of all customers who have ordered the items of concern. When I attempt to add total payments recieved to this report I do not get the accurate results. Ideally, I would create a CrossTab report that contains the customer number in column 1, total sales for the concerned items in column 2, total payments for all orders in column 3, etc.

Can this be done? Do I have to use an SQL expression? If so, can anyone help me with the formatting of the SQL?

As you can tell, I need lots of help getting started. I truly appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,
Dae

Rather than trying to describe requirements using text, consider building a mini-spec, as there are so many factors involved when building a report, the basics of which are:

Crystal version
Database used
Connectivity used
Example data (show table and joins if that's part of the problem)
Expected Output

When seeking technical information, supply technical information.

Saying "When I attempt to add total payments recieved to this report I do not get the accurate results" is saying no more than I don't understand my data or Crystal.

this problem is likely the result of how you're joining tables, and you may be better served to speak with your DBA or an application developer to understand the relationships and how you should join the tables.

Depending upon your Crystal version, you may be able to take existing SQL from them and paste it in as the data source and be fine.
