Creating a session variable and then inserting into a table?

I have tried everything to get my vbscript to create a session variable and then insert it into a table with other data but nothing seems to work. The session variable is being set correctly but when I try to insert it into another table, I just get a 0 (zero) for that field every time; the other fields are inserted correctly. Please help...here's my code:
