Hi guys wonder if you can help. I have just taken over a Lotus Notes R5 site and to be honest have no idea how to create a new user. COuld some one help perhaps give me a link to a how to guide.

I basically have a new user starting at my clients and of course they want an notes email account setup. How is this done. I know you have to create an ID file but how?

Any help would be great cause i am stuck!

You need to have the Domino Adminsitrator programme. If you do not have this or do not know the password, you will have problems. Assuming you can get into administrator

goto the "people & groups" tab.

Ensure you have selected the "people" section

right click in the names area and select "register person"

Enter the relevent information (I usually select the advanced box as it gives mroe options for me to amend. Once of which is where the ID file is to be stored).

Click on "add person"

When you have entered all the new people, click on "Register all". This will create the new user and thier ID file.

You then have the fun of installing Notes on the clients computer.
