Creating a new Tracking Group in Micros 3700

Hello,

I've been updating tracking groups in Micros 3700 by using micros.trk_grp_def trick in SQL. I'm working with a system where we don't have access to the SQL credentials so I need to create a whole new tracking group and update it in Historic Totals.

It seems that when you change the current tracking group in Historic Totals the change does not take effect until EOD, I just want to verify that this is the case. I'm worried that if I change tracking groups during business hours that it will interfere with the current day's reporting.

Best to not have the system in use when making changes like that.....
