I have Outlook 2000 installed on Windows 2000 Pro
I knew how to create a new profile in Windows NT or 9x.
Go in control panel and click the Mail/FAX icon then Tools Porfiles etc.

Windows 2000 Pro does not have the same settings at all.
It just has Accounts which does not end up with the a profile just a new e-mail account.

I have a Profile for me but want to add a new one for my wife so we can keep our E-mail separate. Also so her Palm Pilot can HotSync to her new one and not mine.

TIA

Start, Settings, ControlPanel, Mail, Add or
Start, Settings, ControlPanel, Show Profiles

Here at work I see the bottom example:
"Start, Settings, ControlPanel, Show Profiles"

We are using Exchange though
But I can see the default Profile just fine and I can create a new profile.

At Home
I see the top example:
"Start, Settings, ControlPanel, Mail, Add"

But when I add a new one it does not show up as a profile.
I am using Palm Desktop to sync with Outlook and it asks for which profile but only the default shows up nothing else is added to the list.
"Microsoft Outlook Interent Settings" shows up but that it.

something is a-miss there.

I have both W2K and oulook 2K at work and at home
Only diff. We are using Exchange at work to go though a DSL.
at Home My PC is connected directly to a cable modem (roadrunner) through the USB port.

Sounds like you have set up the profiles and just need to get Outlook to select which one to use. You need to tell Outlook to "Prompt for a Profile to be used" in the Tools/Options/Mail Services menu.

thanks,
But I don't have those options.
It would appear if you choose Corporate or WorkGroup Mode (during the original setup of Outlook) you get a different set of options. At work that's what I'm using.
At Home I'm using Internet E-mail so Outlook behaves different in all of the settings. DougP, MCP
