Hello,
I am about to create a new Intranet site. I have done a lot of SP development on existing sites, but only a couple of smaller test sites from scratch. This one is going to go into production. My understanding is that the best approach is to use the Publishing Portal Template to start with (from Central Admin), but I was wondering if there was a walkthrough available anywhere that could step me through it.
I know about deploying via WSP Builder and using feature stapling, but I just wanted to check if anyone had any other suggestions. I have a couple books, lots of online resources, it just seems that there's so much information on MOSS 2007 I'm not sure where to start. Basically, if I can get a good step by step walkthrough I think it would help me gather my throughts and resources.
Also, as a separate issue, I need to create a proof of concept home page for a specific team, which I understand is best done in SharePoint Designer.
Any help, suggestions or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Alejandro
