I have a new DID block that is reading the wrong Called ID on outside phones. How do I create a new entry in the pbx that will show the correct caller ID. I know once you create the entry you attach that clid to the phone but I can't remember how and where to do this. Thanks.

It is done in LD 15 under the NET_DATA gate opener. You have to answer yes to the CLID prompt.

The latest survey shows that 3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the population.

The original point and click interface was a Smith & Wesson.

Red meat is not bad for you, it is the green fuzzy meat that is bad.

Do I do a new or change? How can I print up the exsisting entries so I know where to start?

When you have your clid table built then you have to change the phone itself to use the new entry.

Key 0 scr 1234 x <----- the x being the new clid table entry number you just created.

Our caller id was all screwed up on our two option 11s. The telco was not doing anything for our cid. Our cid was only transmitting our 4 digit DNs. I didn't even think about this until I started auto filtering calls on my Asterisk PBX at home...

Here are our clid entries. They are the same on both option 11s...

Entry 0 is our default.
Entry 1 works like a "D" in your scr key and scans for the first valid clid entry from key 0 up.
Entry 2 is for our non-routable DNs.
Entry 3 is for our CallPilot.
Entries 4 and 5 are for our call centers.

You edit in LD15/CHG. Just select the entry and edit away. Pressing enter on a prompt will bypass it and not change anything at that prompt. LD21/PRT/CLID will print your clid tables like the above.

To apply, edit your station and put the entry number in your key, i.e. key 00 scr 1234 X, where X is the clid entry.

Now our cid transmits properly and will bypass my filters at home. Now if I could just get our telco to correct our name misspelling on the cid name...
