Hello alltogether,

I want to create a new DB with referential integrity. I first built the structure and the relationships and then wanted to add records. But I got an errorrmassage which told me, that there are no such datarecords in my subtalble. No, of course not, I just started to put the data into my DB. Did I missunderstand the purpose of referential inegrity? How can I get out of this circle?

Thanks for help,

Heiko

Are you putting your data in in the right order? If you want RI then you need to import All of the "One" tables first. If you try to put a "many" record in with no "One" record, you will get an error. Also you have to make sure all of the data will work. You will get an error every time you try to create a record where no link exists. Jim Lunde
